Title: Lead Java Integration Engineer
Location: New York
Contract position
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create and implement sophisticated integration solutions leveraging Java, APIs, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP services.
- API Management: Develop, test, and manage APIs to facilitate communication between diverse software systems.
- Monitoring Integration: Integrate applications with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and NewRelic.
- Utilize Cloud Services: Work with GCP services, including Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery to manage integrations.
- Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with development teams, DevOps, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project success.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration/application issues, providing timely support to ensure system stability and performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all integration solutions comply with security standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years in systems and/or software development, with a preference for retail environments.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and GCP services. Experience with containerization and deployment on Kubernetes.
- Database Skills: Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres) and data integration; experience with NoSQL databases like Redis is a plus.
- Development Tools: Experience with Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, Gradle, Git, and CI/CD processes.
- Linux Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Linux.
- Retail Insight: Knowledge of warehouse management, inventory, and merchandising concepts is advantageous.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities; able to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
